Horley – the new Dallas?

Less than a mile from the edge of Horley, drilling is under way for a conventional oil well. However the site is also being used to explore for gas at deeper levels, including shale layers.

If fracking for shale gas were to go ahead either here or nearby it could result in thousands of wells in Surrey and Sussex, with disastrous consequences.

Local residents are welcome at a free information evening, which will give an update on the drilling at Horse Hill and the protector camp that has started there,  and look at the dangers of fracking, plus the wider situation in the south-east.

We can also look into building our opposition to the damaging industrialisation of our countryside.
